OUR THEORY OF CHANGE

Schools are a microcosm of our broader society. Children learn their values and their value here. Our program seeks to ignite creativity, connection, and community in order to combat isolation, depression, and bullying, promoting emotional wellness in NYC underserved schools.

METHOD

We teach social emotional skills through experiential learning, using imaginative play and embodiment as our approach to explore these skills.

Pairing theatrical games with contemporary music, we facilitate a playful laboratory for children to explore a deeper connection to self and others. Our curriculum is rooted in three main learning pillars:

EMBODIMENT

We find knew ways to learn when we listen with our bodies.

Tools:

Listen to Intuition, Non-verbal communication, Somatic Awareness.

IMAGINATION

We all possess wisdom within us that waits to be expressed.

Tools:

Engage Wonder, Self Discovery, Creative Self-Expression

EMOTION

Our community relies on us to care for ourselves & others.

Tools:

Self-Awareness, Mindfulness, Agency, Compassion.

We strive to create an environment that celebrates all students in the room.

Every session is carefully concluded with reflection and appreciation for all.
